Best known for playing Larry on the legendary sit-com Three’s Company for 7 seasons, we’re thrilled to have Richard teaching a three week online class in comedy acting.

Not only a professional Broadway/TV actor, Richard is also an award-winning theater director who was seen in the National Tour and Broadway engagements of Wicked and Waitress. His TV directing credits include shows with Burt Reynolds, Billy Connolly and Bruce Davison.

In this class, you’ll be doing individual exercises and working with scene partners on material provided by Richard. Emphasis is on script analysis, “finding the funny”, and then using mechanics-timing, pace, physicality along with believability to create the role.

You’ll also get behind-the-scenes info on everything from the audition process to the table read to the on-set experience from an expert on BOTH sides of the camera!

In your first class, Richard will start with a brief discussion on comedy followed by working on one-liners and a sitcom scene that everyone will do. In your next two classes, he’ll work with you on more exercises and fuller comedy/sitcom scenes that you will be assigned in advance.
